Paul & Jacqui had been planning a trip for a while, so it was great to finally see them in San Fran. We took the opportunity to show them around the Bay. I’m not sure what Paul enjoyed the most, cycling over the Golden Gate
Bridge or all the local Star Trek sites. I had no idea the
Monterey Bay Aquarium
was used in
Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home
and
Fort Baker
was used in
Star Trek: Enterprise
.
We started on Sunday with a
trip to Alcatraz
, not only was it their first visit but Lisa's as well (despite living here for two years!).

On Thursday I took a day off for a flying trip down to the
Monterey Bay Aquarium
. Despite this being my second visit it was awesome, they’d made plenty of changes to make it interesting. I’m particularly pleased with these photos.

On their second weekend we visited
Napa and Sonoma
to partake in lots of wine tasting, and a little sightseeing. On our return we explored
Fort Baker
which has some fascinating fortifications built to defend San Francisco in the early 19th century.
