Things We Collect

We travel a lot (and long may it continue) and apart from taking thousands of photos, we’ve started to collect a few things.
Starbucks Mugs
I started collecting Starbucks mugs in Kuala Lumpur and now it’s a little bit addictive. In total I have 38 from over 20 different countries and four continents.
I’m sure one day we’ll find a use for them. Now they just get packed away in a box!
Winery Coasters
Our latest idea is to collect coasters from wineries we visit. So far we’re up to 16, the vast majority (obviously) from California.
Once we have a family home our plan is to use them as tiles in the kitchen. Looks like we have a lot more winery visiting to do.
Wine Bottle Corks
Not really intentional but we have been throwing our wine corks into a basket which we had to empty last week. In about two years, we drank at least 200 bottles of wine! That’s an average of 1 bottle every 3 days and change. Some folks will think that is a lot and I know others will think we are amateurs!
Firefly Ridge was the winner. We’ve drank almost 40 bottles! It’s normally a $16 bottle of wine at Safeway, but we only buy in bulk and when it’s on sale. Lisa loves getting a bargain at $5 and it makes a great table wine.
